Why We Gather
Juneteenth is a day of freedom, family and gathering. The K3 Kookout is our way of celebrating it with the people who have supported this brand, around a cookout, sneaker culture and good company.
On June 19, 1865, enslaved people in Galveston, Texas learned they were free, more than two years after the Emancipation Proclamation. Juneteenth marks that day, and it is now a federal holiday.
